LSTM trained on Bach and Mozart MIDIs spits out endless wonky pseudo-baroque toccatas, passing briefly through a drunken mashup of Paul Hindemith and Scott Joplin on a broken player piano. We are nowhere close to the glory of CPU Bach.

    (Known in parts of California as the burl-oak, via a vowel-consonant shift.)

    Bought a car.

    Yeah!

    SM up for weekend; will finalize this week and they'll pick me up Friday to complete. I have the license plate already... things are moving in the right direction and life will, at last, begin again...

    Wound up with a 2017 Subaru Forrester; the brand I hated; not a Volvo, but practical and at least? It works.
